Your New Year’s Resolution: Switch to a Standing Desk

It seems like every New Year’s Eve sneaks up on us. We work all year toward our goals and resolutions, and then it’s suddenly time to start over! Positive Relationships

It’s important to evaluate the most important relationships in your life on at least a yearly basis. It’s too easy to let relationships drift off because you are focusing on other things. Consider the relationships you have with your spouse, parents, children, friends and co-workers … Are you being passive or absent in any of these? Are you giving too much? What can be improved? Ask yourself these questions as you reflect on the new year, and make tangible goals for yourself to ensure these relationships are positive throughout the next year. As you use a standing desk during your workday, you use more of your brain and your muscles than a traditional seated desk. This activity can help you in your relationships, as it makes you more present and attentive during day-to-day tasks.

Healthy Eating

While it’s easy to say we want to eat healthier, it’s sometimes very hard to change old habits. During the work week, we spend the majority of our meals around our co-workers. Develop a system with friends from the office to ensure healthy eating habits throughout the week.
